Hello, my name is Michael Kemp. I’m an audio recording / post-production professional, and SaaS business operations professional, based in Des Moines, Iowa. I have over 12 years of pro audio production experience, and 9 years of SaaS business startup experience.

I’ve worked in audio recording/production in Iowa, Nashville, Los Angeles, and Iowa (yes twice!). Building on that experience, I founded a company called BrandKast that helps businesses and influencers produce creative digital content that fits their unique brand and culture. In addition to BrandKast, I also do select music production work.

Formerly I worked in customer success for a software startup called Tourney Machine. A web-based software that helps manage youth sports tournaments. I followed Tourney Machine through an acquisition by Time, Inc as part of a project called Sports Illustrated Play. And then again when Sports Illustrated Play was acquired by Sports Engine (owned by NBC Sports).

Currently I’m Director of Operations for the company Bound™ (formerly Varsity Bound). A web-based software platform that brings communities together around the high school activities program, through solving scheduling problems, efficient data management, and managing payments and revenue streams.
